About the Course:
A Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (B.Sc. IT), is a Bachelor’s degree awarded for an undergraduate program in the Information technology field. The degree is normally required in order to work in the Information technology industry. The B. Sc. IT degree program is of three years duration. This degree is primarily focused on subjects such as software, databases, and networking. The degree is a Bachelor of Science degree with institutions conferring degrees in the fields of information technology and related fields. This degree is awarded for completing a program of study in the field of software development, software testing, software engineering, web design, databases, programming, computer networking and computer systems.
About the Department:
The Department of B.Sc. IT is established in the year 2001 with objective of updating the college to enter the information era thereby creating better vocational opportunities to the rural youth of Vasai. The Faculty took shape with a small number of 23 students, which today amounted to a rather satisfactory size of 69, but having the potential yet to grow more in number.
Initially, the department began to function with a limited number of computers but now the IT lab is more or less equipped with 14 Pentium PCs with the latest configuration having the devices as C.D writer, Printer and the like. Though a newly started Department, its students have stood apart bagging the coveted first prize in the inter-collegiate software project competition.
